19th Draw Express Entry Program

Citizenship and Immigration Canada on 23 of October 2015, announced the results of 19th Draw Express Entry to the candidates who had applied for Permanent Residence. The minimum qualifying score was 489, representing a rise in scores over recent years. This is the tenth consecutive draw for which the lowest qualifying score has been below the 600 point benchmark. Since the inception of the program in January 2015, a total of 25,044 invitations has been issued.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada under the Express Entry uses a Comprehensive ranking system to rank a prospective candidate to Canada. Candidates are awarded up to 600 points in view of an assortment of components implied, to assess their ability to succeed in Canada, including language ability either English or French, age, education qualification, and work experience. A candidate holding a valid job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment is given an additional point of 600.

The 19th draw is the first ever since the Canadian Federal Election, that was held this week earlier. A liberal party stood majority in the election to form a new government with prime Minister designate Justin Trudeau constitutionally. The fact that an Express Entry draw was held within days of the election having been held during the transfer of power shows that economic immigration remains as the same importance without any effect on the Canada's Immigration Policy.

Express Entry

Interested Candidates need to create an online express entry profile, where they will be ranked as per the Comprehensive Ranking System for their language ability, Skills, Age, educational qualification, work experience. Only the top ranking candidates who have achieved the highest scores will be invited to apply for Permanent Resident. The prospective candidate will have 60 days to submit the complete application for which the Citizenship and Immigration Canada aims to process the visa application process within six months or even less.
